THUGS pointed a gun at him threatening to shoot him.
He knelt and pleaded with them not to kill him.
But the father's pleas fell on deaf ears as he was killed on Friday, 8 October.
According to his brother, the thugs walked into his shop in Malonga Village in Vuwani, Limpopo and pretended to buy cigarettes.
He was at the back of the shop feeding cattle when they pointed a gun at him.
He said his two sons ran outside to check on their dad. They found him kneeling and pleading with the thugs not to kill him.
“His two sons are still traumatised and crying because they saw people shoot their dad,” he said.
Police spokesman Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo said the suspects also stole a Samsung Galaxy A20 cellphone and an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing in a VW Polo and Toyota RunX.
He said that Limpopo police commissioner Lieutenant-General Thembi Hadebe immediately ordered a 72-hour activation plan to track down the suspects.
Limpopo police have urged anyone with information about the suspects to come forward. Anyone with information that can lead to the arrest of the suspects should call Lieutenant-Colonel Hillman Matumba on 071 481 6876, 08600 10111 or report at their nearest police station.
