THE pastor admits he used to lie and cheat but he’s a changed man now that he’s found God.
Pastor Makhado Sinthumule (37) repented for lying and tricking congregants to make money and gain power.
He has shared his experiences from the dark world in a book called Church Mafia that gives a deeper understanding of his underworld of secrets.
The People’s Paper ran an article on 4 January about his muthi confessions. He said he made his congregants vomit snakes and he used powers he learnt in North Africa.
Makhado said he decided to write a book soon after his story appeared in Daily Sun as it attracted attention from all over the country.
“There was huge demand for me to tell the stories at churches and in the media. The book is about my experiences as a pastor and I also reveal my trips to Nigeria to get powers to scam people and how I was delivered and repented from my evil ways.”
Despite Makhado being criticised by pastors guilty of what he confessed to, he is relieved and living a good life.
“When I came out, I received threats but I’m living a peaceful life. I’m employed by a different church practising the right ways,” he said.
“I’ve been through healing. Many come forward after reading my book and share similar stories.”
He advised pastors who walked in the dark to preach the truth and stay away from the dark world. “There’s no short cut to success. Let’s go back to teach about the Lord,” he said.
