JMPD Task Team members arrested two male suspects last night and this morningThis is after they were found in possession of illegal firearms and ammunition.
The first suspect was arrested just before 11pm last night at Wolmarans Street and King George Street, Joubert Park after being spotted on CCTV.
The JMPD spokesman, superintendent Wayne Minnaar told Daily Sun that the second suspect was arrested at approximately 2am this morning at Klein Street and De Villiers Street, Joubert Park.
"Both suspects were charged and detained at Hillbrow Police Station," said Minnaar. "If members of the public see suspects with firearms in the Johannesburg area or spot suspicious behaviour, they should call JMPD immediately on 011 375 5911," Minnaar added.
