He told the SunTeam he opened a case at KwaMhlanga Police Station to get a case number but claims the cops were sending him from pillar to post.
“The trouble started in 2018 when I opened a case against two men who branded my father’s cattle with a fake stamp. In May this year, they came to my place and started beating me,” he said.
“They tore up my clothes and trashed my room. I can’t follow up on the matter because I don’t have a case number.
Sipho claimed the men stole his father’s cattle and sold them. He said he was forced to quit his job to look after his father’s property on the family farm. “I had to leave my job because family members were putting pressure on me. They said I must take responsibility for my father’s livestock because they were disappearing.”
Brigadier Leonard Hlathi said Sipho should go the police station. “He will then tell the station commander everything that happened. The commander will then assist him with the case to be followed,” he said.
