Western Cape police spokesman, Sergeant Dawood Suliman said on Monday in Khayelitsha, Cape Town, cops went to the address in Qandu-Qandu.
“They did a search and found a 9mm firearm with its serial number filed off, and ammunition. The suspect was arrested, and appeared in the Khayelitsha Magistrates Court on Wednesday.”
The case was postponed to next Thursday.
- Meanwhile, cops attached to the Mfuleni police’s crime prevention unit were patrolling when residents gave the address where suspected drug-dealing was taking place.
“They went to the premises in Minister Street, Bardale, and confiscated 19 plastic sachets of methamphetamine, a consignment of drugs and cash,” said Suliman.
A 47-year-old suspect was bust on charges of possession and dealing in drugs. She’ll appear in the Blue Downs Magistrates Court.
One resident said many houses were selling drugs, but people were afraid to come forward.
