BOYFRIEND ALLEGEDLY KILLED FOR BONUS!

accreditation

IT is that time of year where employees get their bonuses, but they come with a lot of drama.

A 51-year-old woman from the Eastern Cape was arrested on Wednesday, 15 December, for allegedly killing her boyfriend following a 13th cheque argument in Cookhouse.

According to Sergeant Majola Nkohli, it is alleged that at about 11.50pm, a 38-year-old man was walking in Raymond Mhlaba Street, Bongweni, when his girlfriend aggressively approached him.

“It is said that the two were involved in a brief argument when she became angry, and stabbed him once in the upper body. Akhona Sondlo was declared dead at the scene. It is believed that the argument was about his 13th cheque,” Nkohli said in a statement.

Nkohli added that the woman was arrested, and is due to appear in the Somerset East Magistrates Court on Monday, 20 December, on charges of murder.
