LONG-standing Rhythm City star Pam Andrews has announced that she will soon be leaving the popular e.tv soapie.

The sexy nudist and actress has played the role of Gail October for the past seven years. The last episodes of Rhythm City starring Pam will be aired in June.

“I am not done with acting but right now I want to focus on building my solo music career,” she said.

Speaking about her new journey, Pam said: “You know me – I am crazy! Sometimes I just want to randomly dye my hair green but I can’t because of my soapie character. Now I’ll get the chance to explore my musical talent.”

Pam rose to fame as a member of 101, the singing group which won the first season of Coca-Cola Pop Stars in 2001. Later she launched her acting career as wild child Frankie in the e.tv drama Backstage.

Pam said she’ll miss her co-stars in Rhythm City but she’s ready for a new challenge.

“I’ve never fully succeeded as a solo artist. I’ve been in the studio a lot working on my music,” she said.

Pam describes her new sound as dance pop and she will be releasing some new tracks later this year.
