TWO CHILDREN FOUND HANGED IN THE BUSH!

accreditation

THE family of a woman (23) who on Tuesday allegedly killed her son (6) and stepdaughter (6) before trying to kill herself said they hoped she will reveal in court what drove her to her act.

The devastated family from Ingwavuma, northern KZN, told Daily Sun that the incident has left them heartbroken and speechless.

A family member (59) said three days before the incident, the suspect appeared to be troubled by something she wouldn’t disclose.

“It looked as if there was something she wanted to tell her mother because she came to her several times, but instead of talking, she cried non-stop.

She said the suspect hanged the kids in the bush a few metres away from the house. “One of the family members found her when she was trying to tie the third rope to the tree.

“It was too late because the kids had already died, but her life was saved,” said the family member.

KZN police spokeswoman Nqobile Gwala said the woman allegedly left her home with her kids.

“She was later found deep in the bush crying and the kids were found hanging. They were declared dead at the scene by paramedics.

“She tried to hang herself but the rope broke. She was taken to hospital and is under police guard.

“Charges of murder were opened at Ingwavuma Police Station for investigation,” said Gwala.
