accreditation

FOUR suspects allegedly robbed a 32-year-old man of R140 000 in Cedar Square shopping centre in Fourways,

Joburg, on Monday afternoon.

Police spokesman Captain Tinyiko
Mathebula said the thugs followed the man after he withdrew money at a Standard Bank.

“They fired shots before driving off in a white Toyota Etios with the
victim’s money,” he said.

No one was injured. A case of armed robbery was opened and investigations are under way.

Mathebula urged anyone with information that could lead to the suspects’ arrest to come forward.

“Please contact the Douglasdale
Police Station on 011 699 1333 or phone our CrimeStop number 08600 10111,” he said.

Mathebula warned bank customers and ATM users always to be on the lookout for suspicious people or
cars when withdrawing money at
a bank.
