MORE load shedding is on the way!
Eskom spokesman Khulu Phasiwe tweeted yesterday afternoon that stage 2 load shedding is coming.
Earlier in the day they said there would be stage 1 load shedding between 11am and 11pm but it was upgraded.
“This is due to plant breakdowns, resulting in an imbalance between supply and demand. Please visit the websites of your electricity providers for a list of which areas will be affected,” Eskom said. Stage 1 allows for up to 1 000MW to be shed from the grid. Stage 2 allows 2 000MW to be shed.
