A pupil was stabbed to death in classroom by another pupil in Malebogo outside Seshego.
Police spokesperson Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe said one of the pupils stabbed the other with a sharp instrument.
He said the dead pupil was immediately taken to the local clinic where he was certified dead on arrival.
Ngeope said it is alleged that the two learners had a heated argument which led to this fatal incident.
"The suspect briefly appeared before the Senwabarwana Magistrate's Court on a charge of murder.
He was denied bail and his case was postponed to the 2 March 2018 for a formal bail application and further Police investigations," Ngeope said.
He said members of the community especially are advised and encouraged to ensure that all children attend school unarmed in order to prevent this type of incidents.
He said schools are expected to be a safe and secured learning environment without any act of violence or criminality
