After almost three months of being behind bars, Thulani ‘Pitch Black’ Afro Ngcobo’s bail application has been declined!

This after the rapper allegedly killed his wife Tricia Modisane on the 31st of December last year at a BnB in Bellevue near Yeoville.

He is facing charges of murder and defeating the ends of justice after trying to conceal evidence that contributed to his arrest.

The defence had emphasised that the deceased could have sustained her injuries before coming to the BnB and this led the Margistrate, Paul du Plesis to request the services of a pathologist who had been working on the case.

After being served with a warrant of arrest the pathologist Robert Pule explained to the court that the deceased sustain injuries that led to blood clotting in her brain.

When asked to determine when Tricia could have sustained her injuries, he said that was not in line with his work.

“The only thing that helps us know whether a wound is fresh or old is the color it appears to be. Though injuries vary from people with different skin tones, age and whether they are healthy or not, so people do react the same way,” he said.

After taking a break to review all the evidence against Pitch Black du Plesis declined bail and requested that further investigation be done on the defenses’ side before the matter goes to high court.

The rapper’s next court appearance will be on the 12 of April.
