Facebook users had a field day after photos of a sleeping cop were posted by a group called Police Pics and Clips.
SOCIAL media users were outraged and amused when pictures of a cop who passed out while wearing full uniform went viral on
Saturday.
The photos were posted on a
Facebook group called Police Pics and Clips.
The post has the message: “The policeman, stationed at Westville Police Station in Durban, passed out at the entrance to a major mall in the area on Friday morning.
“According to witnesses, the member reeked of alcohol and was clearly under the influence. He had a gun and pepper spray on him.”
- Facebook users posted comments after seeing the photo. Eugene Maddock wrote: “Minister Bathabile, is that you?”
- Monica Walker wrote: “Looking at his belt, I’d say he also ate a lot of KFC. At least his shoes were polished.”
KZN police spokesman Brigadier Jay Naicker said: “The cluster commander is personally investigating this matter with a view to instituting an internal departmental investigation.”
