BLIND pastor Andrew Maluleke (52) is an example of vision and hope in his church.

Maluleke said he was surprised when in 2015 elders made him a pastor for the Apostolic Faith and Acts Church in Rosettenville, Joburg.

“I asked: ‘How am I going to preach with my disability?’

“But when the word comes, that means God’s planted you to serve him, whether you can see or not.

“In 2015, I received word that told me I will see again.

“It does not matter how long it takes, I will see again.

“I will have an operation in August. Doctors said the right eye will see again.”

Maluleke said he was told by doctors in 2009 that he would die.

“They said they could do nothing for me. I must go home to die. Today I’m still alive and this gives me hope I will see again.”

Pastor Themba Ndzombane said Maluleke was a true leader who feared God.
