WHEN the Lord’s servant parked in front of the brothers’ house, they let him in.
But what happened soon after that left them convinced he was a tsotsi!
The pastor took Lucky Moyo (21) and his friend to his house earlier this week and allegedly burnt them with a blow torch.
Lucky’s brother Velaphi Moyo (32) said Lucky knew the pastor because he had once attended his church last year.
Velaphi said the pastor told them he had a job for them at his home at Mayfield in Daveyton, Ekurhuleni.
So Lucky and his friend went with him that morning. But when Velaphi saw his brother in the afternoon, he could hardly recognise him.
Valaphi said his brother and his friend were allegedly fried alive with welding torch by the pastor, his wife and two other men.
The pastor allegedly accused the men of stealing a radio last week.
The two men were later dumped on the street where a passerby recognised Lucky and called Velaphi.
“The person who called said my brother was dying on the street.
“I ran there and found that it was indeed him and his friend.
“I still cannot believe a man of God could do such a thing,” said Velaphi.
Lucky suffered burn wounds to his face, arms, back and all over his body including his 4-5,
He is now unable to pee and fighting for his life at Far East Rand Hospital.
The pastor was arrested on charges of attempted murder.
Putfontein police spokesman Constable Justice Ramaube said: “Cases of assault and attempted murder were opened with the police.
“A 42-year-old suspect was arrested in connection with the incident.
“The incident happened at Plot 8 Hill Crest just behind the Mayfield Shopping Centre.
Investigations continue.
