Nine people have died and 10 others were injured after a collision between a light delivery vehicle and minibus taxi in the Ladysmith area on Sunday.
KwaZulu-Natal emergency medical services tweeted that there was a fatal crash on the Helpmekaar Road near St Chads.
"There has been tragic fatal crash on the Helpmekaar rd near St Chads. Sadly 9 people have sustained fatal injuries. 10 people have been treated by paramedics. Crash involved a LDV & Minibus," read the tweet.
The injured people were taken to hospital for further treatment.
The cause of the crash was being investigated by authorities.
