THE owner of Majila and Partners Funeral Services, Malesela Majila (53), fears for his workers’ lives.

On Monday, his two workers were allegedly robbed of more than R250 000 in cash.

They were apparently on their way to the bank in Lephalale, Limpopo when the incident happened.

Malesela, from Thabo Mbeki kasi outside Lephalale, said he believed someone close to him told thugs about the money they made at the weekend.

“I believe the criminals had information. We are using branded cars and I suspect one of my workers told the thugs that one of the vehicles would be going to town,” Malesela told Daily Sun.

“How did the culprits know the time my workers would be carrying money?”

Malesela said his workers were robbed by thugs driving in two VW Polos.

Limpopo police spokesman Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe confirmed that a case of armed robbery was opened at Vilanora Police Station.

“No arrest has been made and the cops are investigating,” said Ngoepe.
