A BOY (8) from Esikhaleni, northern KZN, was saved by a neighbour after he was allegedly stabbed with scissors by his mum (34) for coming back home late after school.
The neighbour said he noticed for the past two weeks the boy was being carried to and from school by other pupils.
“When I asked what was wrong, the boy broke down and cried. He said his mum had stabbed him in the ankle,” he said.
“I reported the matter to the school and the teachers and social workers ensured the mum was arrested.”
Colonel Thembeka Mbhele said the suspect was arrested and appeared in court on 14 June. She was kept in jail until her next court appearance.
