MISSING BABY FOUND, BABYSITTER BUST!

A baby who was kidnapped by her mother’s friend has been found.

The two month-old baby, who was kidnapped on Sunday in Gugulethu, has been found in Altantis on the West Coast, and the suspect arrested on Sunday.

News24 reported that the babysitter suspected of kidnapping has been arrested, and the child reunited with the mother.

"The baby was found and united with her mother unharmed," police said in a statement.

Spokesperson Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana told News24 that the baby's mother was relieved the infant was found.

"We didn't do it alone," Rwexana was quoted as saying.

The police also thanked Pink Ldies Missing People organization for their efforts in helping find the missing baby.

Members of the public were also thanked by the cops.

The suspect is set to appear in the Wynberg Magistrate's Court soon.
