POLICE think the suspects who killed a man last month are also responsible for his girlfriend’s death.

On Tuesday the woman from Tembisa, Ekurhuleni was found with her throat slit. Her boyfriend’s body was dumped in the bush next to Leralla Train Station last month.

The killers took his wallet and went on a shopping spree. The girlfriend received SMS notifications every time the men used the card. When they realised their blunder, the killers went back to the man’s house on Tuesday to finish off the girlfriend.

The girlfriend was with her sister when she was attacked.

Police spokeswoman Captain Nelda Sekgobela confirmed the incident.

She said police received a complaint about a house robbery. On arrival they were shocked to find two women covered in blood.

“One woman’s throat was cut while the other sustained multiple stab wounds.

“The woman whose throat was cut was certified dead on the scene while the other was still alive,” said Sekgobela.

Five suspects, aged between 21 and 28, were arrested on Wednesday.

They will appear in the Tembisa Magistrates Court soon to face charges of murder and attempted murder.
