THE BURNING PAIN THAT WOKE HIM UP WAS FROM 10 LITRES OF BOILING WATER SPREADING OVER HIS 4-5!

France Manaka from Spruit in Mooiplaas, Tshwane got home, collapsed onto his bed and fell asleep. France had never listened to the warning of his girlfriend of four years telling him that she was running out of patience that he was just coming home and falling asleep.

But on this night, his girlfriend was tired of talking.

He told Daily Sun his story after he was released from Kalafong Hospital in Tshwane on Saturday after spending two weeks in hospital.

He said he doesn’t know how he survived 10 litres of hot water that was poured all over his lower body. And his 4-5 was not spared.

He said he hoped his badly burnt family jewel will work again.

The father of three said he never expected her to do anything like that as they loved each other and lived peacefully in the shack.

“We didn’t even fight that night. She asked me for R20 to buy cold drink and I gave it to her.

“After a tiring day of fixing people’s electrical appliances in my shop I went to bed and even told her goodnight. She told me she will join me in bed after her bath.”

France said when he woke up at about 10pm he tried to remove the blanket.

“My skin came off. I was in a lot of pain. She was standing there looking at me with the bucket in her hand,” he said.

“I don’t want her in my life anymore,” he said.

France said his girlfriend ran off the same night and took his jockeys.

“What does she want my underpants for?” he asked.

France said he never visited his girlfriend’s family.

“When I asked that we must visit her family she changed the subject,” he said.

“I know she has family in Tembisa, Ekurhuleni, but I don’t know where.

France’s neighbour Abel Mukwena (31) told Daily Sun: “What happened to France is very bad. His girlfriend must bring back his belongings.”

Daily Sun tried to call the girlfriend many times but her phone was on voicemail.

Gauteng police spokesman Captain Mavela Masondo, said: “France must open a case at the police station so that the police can investigate.”

Masondo said assault claims can be investigated after a case is opened. France saidhe was going to open a case with the police yesterday despite struggling to walk properly.
