Dear MizzB

I AM a 16-year-old mum, and my 23-year-old boyfriend and I have a 10-month-old child.

My boyfriend gives our child financial support and does his best to spend time with her.

The problem is that I live with my mum, who gives my boyfriend only two hours a day to bond with his daughter.

What can be done to make sure my child is allowed to see her father?

Dear Girl

Although you are a mother, you are still a minor. And it’s important that you follow your mum’s rules.

Ask your partner’s parents to negotiate visiting times, as your child deserves to know both sides of her family.

Do your best to honour your mum so she also learns how to trust and respect you again.
