The Health department building caught fire on Wednesday morning in Joburg.
"WE are extremely devastated," said Joburg MMC for Public Safety Michael Sun about the fire that broke out at the Department of Health in Joburg.
He has confirmed reports that one of the firefighters slipped off from the balcony of the 23rd floor of the building and died.

"As reports come in we are told there is 3 more firefighters trapped in the building," he said.
There is a helicopter trying to lift another trapped people from the building.
"Our firefighters has set up a rescue team to go inside to rescue the trapped firefighters," said Sun.
The fire broke out on the 24th floor of the building just after 10:00.
