GIVEN Makhaza (36) is a worried man.

His wife, Jane Phora (24), has been missing since 30 April.

She was last seen when she allegedly left home to start a new job as a domestic worker in Laudium, Tshwane.

She never returned home.

Given told Daily Sun that every time he hears a knock he fears hearing the worst about his missing wife.

The family from Mshenguville in Atteridgeville is praying for her safe return.

When she was last seen, she was wearing a brown T-shirt, black jeans with printed roses on the side and a pair of black sandals.

He said his wife was excited about the new job.

“She woke up early and prepared for work. I didn’t talk to her all day. It was becoming late, so I called her to check where she was. But her phone was off.”

Given said when he went to check at her workplace, he was told by the employer that he had sent her an SMS, telling her not to come to work.

“I didn’t see the SMS, so I’m not sure if she saw it or not,” he said.

Given said he hoped SunReaders would help him find his wife.

Atteridgeville police spokesman Captain Thomas Mufamadi said they were investigating a case of a missing person.

“Anyone with information should contact their nearest cop shop.”
