THE death of kwaito star Tshepo “TaTshepo” Mohale (41) has left a hole in his loved ones’ hearts.
The Amaskumfete group member died in Jabulani, Soweto on Monday afternoon.
His memorial service will be held at 2pm tomorrow at his home in Masingafi Street and he will be buried at Avalon Cemetery in Soweto on Saturday.
The singer, known for the 1990s smash hit Tsipa Tsipa, died from a heart attack.
His mum, Mafo Tshabalala, said his death has left the family broken.
“He was a loving guy and full of jokes when he was around us.
“It pains me because he loved his three children a lot.”
Close friend and fellow kwaito artist Doc Shebeleza said they were like brothers. “He was a humble person. We travelled and did charity work together.”
Doc said he was torn apart as he and TaTshepo always worked together as a team. They met when they were young and were always there for each other.
“I am so hurt to lose a brother like him.
“What I took from him is that he’d do anything to see every kid happy.”
His cousin Kgosimang Mohale said the family would ensure TaTshepo’s legacy lived on. “He took care of me. We will celebrate his life and talent every day. ”
The family encouraged all of the musician’s fans to attend his funeral.
