EFF leader Julius Malema has warned they will fight President Cyril Ramaphosa if he privatised Eskom!

He was speaking during the State of the Nation Address debate in parliament yesterday.

Malema accused Ramaphosa of lacking political ideology in dealing with the Eskom matter, saying he was driven by greed for money, which would benefit his family and friends.

“If you proceed to privatise Eskom, rest assured as the EFF we will look for the IPPs (independent power producers) and physically shut them down. They represent capitalist greed and obsession with money at the expense of our people,” he said.

DA leader Mmusi Maimane said Ramaphosa had watched as Eskom fell apart. He said the president could not distance himself from the mess caused by former president Jacob Zuma as he was his second in charge and voted for him eight times.

ANC chief whip Jackson Mthembu called the DA a racist party dominated by men, and the EFF a two-man dictatorship where you are fired without due process for disagreeing.
