RINGO Madlingozi has become the latest celebrity to publicly align himself with the EFF.
The Cape Town born singer, producer and songwriter performed at the EFF Africa Day celebration in Tshwane on Friday and later took to Twitter to declare the party had become his political home.
He wrote: “When I was young, I used to cry when I would meet poorer people than me. I never knew there were people who truly would love, protect and fight for the downtrodden.
“Now I’m fearlessly at home with @EFFSouthAfrica. Let’s unite and change our lives, SA. We live once.”
The musician said he was very impressed with the party for having young leaders.
He also Tweeted: “Money, oh God some people do good things with it, while others do bad things with it. For the love of money – O’Jays.
“God, make our people do good things for the money. I have my trust in the youth.
“They are the future. @EFFSouthAfrica has youth as leaders, so trust them.”
EFF supporters on social media applauded the singer and said they welcomed him to their movement with open hearts.
The SunTeam tried to reach Ringo many times but had no success.
