Not only are they cleaning up the streets of Lenesia, they’re also making good use of the land.

Together with the Region G community, officials and volunteers, they hit the ground running picking up litter, turning a dumpsite into a garden.

This took place at Lenasia South.

It was a productive morning with  Acting Mayor, Funzi Ngobeni, Health and social MMC, Mpho Phalatse.

Mpho was happy and also expressed her gratitude towards everyone who participated on this initiative.

“Got a lesson. Mbokodo of the Day. All in all, this was great and more of these will definitely come,” said Mpho.

Gugu Zwane expressed her gratitude and happiness for the campaign.

“Not even the moody weather could stop us. The team spirit was on 100 percent #Aresebetseng. Thank you to everyone who came out today for the monthly #AReSebetseng clean-up campaign.”

“With every month this movement grows bigger and bigger. Remember that taking care of the environment is everyone’s responsibility,” said Gugu.
