THE drive thru bar on William Nicol “Issa trap guys... DONT DO IT!!! apparently Sun City prison has been extended and needs to be filled up”.

This is what some had to say on social media.

These comments come after a drive-thru recently opened on William Nicol called One-On-Nicol.

“It's finally here. Jozi, we are giving you the first ever Drive-thru bar. Come and have one for the road with us,” their Twitter page posted recently.

However, many people are impressed with the idea – saying the drive-thru bar promotes drinking and driving but it turns out it is a campaign by Aware.org for the festive season.

According to Aware.org the controversy around the drive-through bar has forced South Africans to actively re-think their drinking habits.

“The #ReThink activation forms part of a broader festive season campaign headed up by the Association for Alcohol Responsibility and Education (aware.org), in partnership with the Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC).”

Aware.org says the initiative is a bold bid to shift the conversation around drinking and driving, and drinking and walking, in South Africa.
