HE was trying to save his girlfriend, but also ended up dying!

This was after his girlfriend and a friend were electrocuted by a steel gate.

The incident happened at a tavern in Kagisanong in Mangaung, Free State on Saturday.

Daily Sun published their story: “A drink before dying!” yesterday.

Nthabiseng Lephoi (33) and Tshepo Plaatjie (35) left behind two children.

Nthabiseng’s aunt, Matshidiso Lephoi (47) from Phase 3 kasi, said her niece and Tshepo loved each other very much.

“They were inseparable,” said Matshidiso.

She said she was told the friend hugged Nthabiseng in an attempt to tease Tshepo.

“The two then leaned against the steel gate and were electrocuted. Tshepo tried to save Nthabiseng, but he was also electrocuted. It was already too late by the time the ambulance arrived,” she said.

Matshidiso said she thought of Tshepo as her nephew. “They were together for more than six years and have two daughters aged two and eight.

“The eldest daughter is not Tshepo’s child, but he took her as his own. He planned to be a pastor because of his passion for helping people. I know they are together in heaven.”
