Members of Crime Syndicate which terrorsing businesses in Tubatse outside Burgersfort have been bust by the Intelligent led joins operation on trio crime.

Three suspects aged between 31 and 36 were arrested. Police spokesperson Colonel Moetshe Ngeope said this major breakthrough was achieved following a quality and reliable information received from members of the community after a business robbery which occurred at the local shop in Alverton outside Burgersfort. 

He said during this operation ,the following were confiscated three  cars being a red Golf 7 ,white Mercedes Benz and a grey Vw Polo ,  one  rifle, one  9mm pistol and ammunition and house breaking equipment.

The suspects will appear before the Praktiseer Magistrate's Court soon on charges of possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition, possession of suspected stolen motor vehicles, possession of false registration number plates and business robberies.

Ngeope said they were also linked to a series of business robberies in and around the Mecklenburg and Driekop areas recently. 

The Provincial Commissioner LT. General Nneke Ledwaba has applauded hard working team of Police Officers who participated in this operation for the job well done.

“We believe that this milestone achievement will bring a relief to those affected communities especially the business community. A special message must be directed to all the criminals out there that, they can run but they can't hide until the long arm of the law catches on them” General Ledwaba.
