A SAPS Forensic Investigator has been arrested for alleged molesting two pupils at the AB Xuma Primary School, where over 87 pupils were allegedly sexually assaulted by a security guard a few months ago.

The accused man is a SAP Forensic Investigator who is part of the team investigating sexual assault cases at the school.

The two learners were also victims in the case that is currently before court, involving the school patroller.

"The children have now become victims of sexual assault twice by different people."

According to the Gauteng Department of Education, the incident happened on Monday,  when the investigator visited the victims at the school to prepare for the Court appearance.

It is alleged that the investigator sexually molested the two grade 3 learners aged 7-year-old and 8-years-old.

It's reported that the matter was escalated to the Family and Child Services, who came to the school to interview the affected learners and their parents.

MEC Panyaza Lesufi said: "These allegations are shocking and disturbing. A person entrusted with protecting children has violated their trust and that of their parents. This man should meet the full might of the law.”

Lesufi said it is unfortunate and regrettable that this incident occurred to the very same learners who were previous victims of the school patroller.
