An alleged Phoenix drug lord, mini-bus taxi and tow truck
owner was shot dead in uMhlanga KwaZulu Natal on Thursday morning.
Kalvin Periasamy was shot dead in a parking lot of Gateway Shopping Mall.
It’s reported that he was killed by an unknown suspect, who shot him execution style.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting are still being investigated.
News24 reported that the man, identified as Kalvin Periasamy was leaving the mall's gym when he was gunned down in the parking lot.
A photo of Periasamy, who was also accused of being a drug dealer, circulated on social media shortly after his murder.
In the photo he can be seen lying in a pool of blood between two parked cars.
Police spokesperson Captain Nqobile Gwala said a murder case was being investigated.
