Healing prophet stampede!

accreditation

MANY residents heard that Prophet Shepherd Bushiri would be healing people at the Tshwane Events Centre.

So from 6am yesterday morning, people started arriving at the centre near the Pretoria CBD.

As the crowd grew, the situation became more dangerous and eventually disaster struck.

According to witnesses, people started pushing and shoving from the back to force the gate open.

According to Werner Vermaak of ER24, several people said there was no control and when the gate fell, at least 13 were badly hurt and taken to hospital.

Some were treated at the scene, refusing to go to hospital and insisting they would go to the service.

Vermaak said that among those critically injured was a woman in her 60s, who hurt her pelvis, and a man in his 30s, who injured his knees.

When Daily Sun visited the scene after lunch, people were still queuing to try to get into the centre.
