The Ntuzuma Regional Court convicted and sentenced Khulekani Ngcobo (44) to 15 years’ imprisonment for murder.

In February 2016, Khumbulani Ngema, 23, was found dead at his place of residence in A section, Phumula Road in KwaMashu hostel.

He had multiple gunshot wounds all over the body.

A case of murder was opened at KwaMashu police station for investigation.

Police spokesman Captain Nqobile Gwala says through an extensive police investigation, Ngcobo was arrested.

He was taken to Ntuzuma court where he was convicted on Monday.

KwaZulu-Natal Acting Provincial Commissioner, Major General Bheki Langa applauded the investigators for sending well-prepared dockets to court for successful prosecution.
