THIS is a whole different kind of life for thugs!

San Pedro Prison is the largest prison in the South American city of La Paz, the capital of Bolivia.

The jail is a society within itself.

There are no bars on the windows and no guards.

Prisoners enforce the rules themselves, usually with weapons.

Inmates get jobs inside the prison, where their wives and kids often live with them, as it is thought safer for them to be there than on the outside!

There is a cocaine factory inside the jail for drug trafficking and even a hotel for visitors. Many tourists visit the prison, which has about 3 000 inmates.

And with so many kids living inside San Pedro, the inmates have zero tolerance for rapists and paedophiles.
