Socialite, MC and Dancer, Zodwa Wabantu  is ready to set the acting world alight.

Our favourite queen of the dance floor told TshisaLIVE that she is even moving to Jozi to start filming on a new TV series that will be released in the coming months.

She recently made a cameo appearance on SABC 1’s Uzalo and she said the new show’s producers made contact with her  after they were impressed by the progress she has made in the entertainment industry.

"Most people think that I am just a dancer who holds a Savanna in her hand but they saw something more. They told me they loved the way I was true to myself and I wasn't trying to be anyone else. They had been looking at my brand and they wanted to make it bigger and better " she said.

The entertainment game changer is not content with just the TV screens and she is setting her sights on Cinema screens as well, she is set to appear on a film that will be shot a few months from now.

"I will be going on set for 10-days. I don't know if it is an international film or a local one‚ but I am excited to be in a movie‚" she said.

Zodwa said that she has always wanted to try her hand at acting and the opportunity came at the right time.
