Tsonga rapper and poet Sho Madjozi’s constant rise is showing no signs of letting up anytime soon.

The local musician is currently one of the most sought after entertainers in the country and her brand is growing in leaps and bounds.

She is one of only two Mzansi artists to be confirmed as part of the star studded line up of the much anticipated Global Citizen Festival which will be bringing Beyonce and Jay Z among other high profile acts to Mzasnsi later this year.

Sho Madjozi, whose real name is Maya Wegerif, has taken her brand beyond Mzansi borders and is set to perform in the Afropunk Festival in Brooklyn, New York this Saturday.

The 26 year old is already in the Big Apple living it up.

She recently shared a video of herself performing in front of scores of fans on the streets of New York City.

She has also shared some picture hanging out with Jidenna, who is a fan of South African music.
