A warrant of arrest has been issued for Babes Wodumo and Mampintsha by Magistrate Navi Pillay.

This after the two failed to pitch this morning at Pinetown Magistrate Court in KZN.

The love birds were scheduled to appear in court where for the finalisation of the FAMSA report was to be heard in front of the court after Babes withdrew charges of assault she had opened against Mampintsha.

Mampintsha’s attorney, Pat Magwaza finally arrived in court and told the Magistrate that he was from Mampintsha’s home, where he found him and Babes sleeping, and he was not sure if the two were going to make it to court in time.

Magwaza said: “I had been trying to get hold of Mampintsha and Babes on their phones and then I decided to drive to his house in Westville, where I found them sleeping and I was not aware they worked until late in the studio which is why they were sleeping.”

Magwaza then tried to withdraw from representing Mampintsha and Babes further in the case, but Magistrate Pillay refused his withdrawal and asked him if he got the instruction of withdrawal from his client and he said no.

Magistrate Pillay then immediately issued a warrant of arrest to Babes and Mampintsha for defaulting the courts instructions.
