April is radio shuffle season and all over Mzansi, the coolest kids on the block are being brought in to replace those who are as dry as biltong.

Naturally, one of the stations that everyone is watching at this time of the year is Metro FM.

Having made major changes to its line-up over the past year and being one of the biggest stations in the country, we have all been waiting to see what the station has in store for us.

And the cat is finally out of the bag.

Thembisa Mdoda is joining the station as a weekend breakfast show host alongside Mo G every Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Fresh Breakfast, hosted by DJ Fresh and Somizi Mhlongo, is getting an extra hour to serve up some of the tastiest breakfast show contents in the country.

Thomas Mlambo will now host the hotly contested 6pm sports slot on weekdays.

Amon Mokoena will no longer be on the Great Escape with Pearl Modiadie.

He will be replaced by Thomas Msengana.

And finally, Bujy Bikwa has also announced that he is joining the Metro FM family.

"I CRIED SOOOO SOOO BAD ON MY WAY HOME AFTER I WAS ASKED TO JOIN THE METRO FM. 4 YEARS I HAVE BEEN KNOCKING AND FINALLY GOD. ITS GOING TO BE LEGENDARY," he said.

Although we don't know as yet what he will be doing, we do know that Bujy is no stranger to radio production, having produced Dineo's afternoon drive-time show on YFM a few years ago.
