Ngud' hit maker Kwesta's single went platinum a month after it was released and on the 10th December 2017 the public will be able to celebrate a one night only public performance of Spirit with Kwesta and Wale in concert at Zone 6 Soweto.
Kwesta will celebrate the year 2017 which has been one of his most successful years since he released his first single Shap Fede over 10 years ago. His most recent release instantly became one of SA’s most loved songs with its record-breaking debut atop the SA Top 100 with Wale, the Washington D.C. born Grammy nominated rapper whose parents are of Nigerian descent.
This concert will be the first of its kind, as it will be the first ever concert where an artist from the USA will be brought to the country specifically to shoot the single’s music video and celebrate the record going platinum. Spirit is Kwesta’s forth platinum single this year and has spent 5 weeks at number 1 on the SA Radio Playlist Top 100 chart.
2017 has been an amazing year for Kwesta who has received multiple accolades for the amazing work he has put in over the years, he was awarded the title of #1 Hottest MC at this years MTV Hottest Hip Hop artist list last week, Kwesta was the most awarded male artist of all time at the 2016 SA Music Awards earlier this year with over 6 awards, which was after his album Dakar 2 was certified multiple platinum.
