As the world celebrates Valentine's Day, South African's on the other side are taking time out to remember Reeva Steenkamp whose life was cut so short at the hands of someone close to her.
The model and TV personality, Reeva Steenkamp was murdered by her Paralympic boyfriend, Oscar Pistorius.

Pistorius alleged that he had mistaken Steenkamp
for an intruder in his home and shot her multiple times in 2013.
It’s been 6 year since the model saw her unfortunate death however, South African’s have not forgotten.

South Africa faces the highest rate of femicide in the world. Every four hours a woman is murdered and half of these murders are at the hands of the women's partners.
