Local choreographer and reality TV star Somizi “SomG” Mhlongo has made history by becoming the first African male to represent a make-up brand.

The Idols Judge took to Instagram earlier on Tuesday to let his followers know that he had a big announcement for them later.

The star later confirmed the big news announcing that he was the new face of make-up brand, Black Opal SA. 

“Iconic moment. Boundaries have been broken. Ladies and gentlemen I’m honored to announce the face of @blackopalsa The first male to represent a make up brand. #blkopalxsomizi when God shows up. He shows off,” Somizi wrote.

The brand also announce that they were “proud” to have Somizi represent their brand.
