Controversial singer and dancer, Skolopad has just found out that her unreleased album is being sold on street corners and she is fuming.
The singer shared her rage on Twitter saying that people are selling her music and she knows nothing about it.
“If you see anyone selling a CD like this please report it. He/she is doing a fraud .I haven't released it. Thank u,” she said on Instagram.
This would mean that Skolopad is receiving no income whatsoever from this illegal sale of her work.
Skolopad shared the artwork of her forthcoming album on social media last year and now, the very same artwork is appearing on the pirated copies of the album.
The heartbroken singer had no idea that her music was being distributed in the streets until a fan congratulated her on the album.
But what’s even worse is that only three of the songs on the eight-track album were actually hers, the rest were Maskandi songs.
Skolopad revealed all of this to TshisaLive, saying that she is very disheartened.
“I feel like people are taking food from my mouth even before I have enough to eat. I mean I am struggling, when people are out there selling their music because of my face and the fame I've worked hard to get. I'm sad this is happening, it is already a hard struggle to sell my music without this happening,” she told the publication.
Skolopad’s album was meant to be titled Tloboneng but no word as yet whether she will change it now that it’s tainted by the piraters.
