The Comedy Central Roast of Somizi is literally getting better and better by the day.
At this point, the roast has become a not-to-be-missed television spectacle of gags all at the expense of Somizi Mhlongo.
As if roast master, Garreth Cliff, Schalk Bezuidenhout, and Ntsiki Mazwai weren’t enough to leave us in tears, the organisers of the roast have added two new roasters to the bill.
One is known for leaving crowds in stitches every time he steps on stage; the other as the Kaptein of the Afrikaans music genre.
Skhumba Hlophe and Kurt Darren are ready to fan the flames as the latest panelists to the Comedy Central Roast of Somizi in partnership with Showmax.

Skhumba’s effervescent persona and ability to make even his “worst critics laugh”, both through his television and radio work, has seen his career skyrocket from where he started eKasi.
“It feels good to be part of the Comedy Central Roast of Somizi and I am looking forward to it. I ain’t afraid of s**t; in fact, is Somizi ready?” said Skhumba.
Joining Skhuma on the roast panel is singer, Kurt Darren who is also just ask ready to serve his best jokes.
“Comedy Central Roast of Somizi will be a true test on my sokkie jokes. I know the viewers will enjoy them; I just wonder whether Somizi is ready for the dance,” he said.
All the fun will go down on 26 April 2018 at the Lyric Theatre, Gold Reef City in Johannesburg and will be broadcast on Comedy Central (DStv channel 122) on Monday, 7 May 2018 at 21:00.
The extended and uncensored version to will be available to Showmax subscribers as of Tuesday, 8 May 2018.
