HOUSE musician Komplexity used to work with Sir Javas before he died of meningitis in June.
Although Sir Javas has crossed over to the other side, Komplexity claims the late musician still speaks to him.
He said Sir Javas often came to him in his dreams.
Komplexity told Daily Sun: “He tells me to keep making music and finish what we started.”
He said Sir Javas was a brother and mentor.
“We used to communicate a lot, and he was a caring person,” said Komplexity.
The 29-year-old musician from Mabopane, north of Tshwane, said when Sir Javas died,
they were working on his album.
Komplexity said he was featured on three songs. He was working on their remixes.
“This is the best way to remember and honour him.
“It would be ungrateful of me not to pay tribute for him,” he said.
Komplexity said he would always remember Sir Javas’ humanity and sense of humour.
He said dreaming about Sir Javas encouraged him to stay focused and was about to complete his album.
“I experimented with different genres because I wanted to accommodate different kinds of music followers and expand my fan base.
“The music industry is a cut- throat business. You have to be smart and selfish to succeed.”
Komplexity has been featured by prominent and budding artists such such as Lulo Cafe,
DJ Fortee, DJ Somebody,
DJ Bakke and Sir Javas.
