It’s been over a year since Simphiwe “Simz” Ngema lost her husband and although she is doing better, the idea of moving on doesn’t sit well with her just yet.

Her husband, actor and musician Dumi Masilela was tragically killed in an attempted hijacking in August 2017, just a few months after the couple tied the knot.

As was evident when Simz revealed she would be letting go of her wedding ring, a symbol of her union with her late husband, moving on with her life is a reality she has to face.

Speaking to the Fresh Breakfast team in an interview on Metro FM, Simz revealed that she has thought about moving on, however the thought just “terrifies” her.

She said the fact that many people out there are finding it difficult to maintain healthy and strong relationships, makes it scarier for her looking to dive back into the dating game.

“I was spoilt, Dumi did everything for me and he treated me a certain way,” she said, “I think about that and I’m like, is there a guy who is going to be able to handle me?

“It’s a difficult thing to think about because I’m young and I still want to have kids someday,” she added.

Simz went on to say that she has decided to leave it up to God to bless her with another man who will treat her like a queen, just like Dumi used to.
