SBU Mthembu has taken a giant step forward.

The gospel artist has left Joyous Celebration to pursue a solo career.

He used to be a lead singer and song writer for the group.

Sbu told SunBuzz the experience he gained while he was with Joyous Celebration will help him make it in music.

“I learnt a lot from Joyous Celebration. Now I know that success comes with hard work and dedication.

“This is my time to shine and entertain gospel lovers. It’s also my time to spread the word of God,” said Noah.

Born in Umlazi, south of Durban, Sbu joined Joyous Celebration in 2012.

When he was still a member of the group, he led songs such as Unkulunkulu Uyang’thanda, UJesu Ulidwala and Ngiphephile.

Sbu is expected to record his debut album and shoot his live DVD live at The Playhouse, Durban. The event will take place on 6,7 and 8 December.

He said: “Music fans will be blessed. I’m confident that lives will change.

“People will be delivered from demons while others will be inspired and revived.

“My music will keep people busy this December. I want to bring gospel lovers closer to God.”
