THE SABC has approved the appointment of Dr Joe Thloloe and Barbara Watson to chair commissions of inquiry into editorial interference and sexual harassment.
Thloloe will chair the editorial interference inquiry, while Watson will chair the sexual harassment commission.
Acting group chief operating officer Nomsa Philiso said the two would help the public broadcaster restore its credibility.
She said Thloloe and Watson were chosen because of their experience and expertise.
Thloloe previously served as Press Ombudsman and worked for the SABC as editor-in-chief, responsible for TV news and current affairs.
Watson is a qualified social worker with more than 40 years’ experience. As a development worker and gender activist she has the ability to develop and monitor policies.
The public broadcaster is appealing to all individuals to make their submissions to the commissions by tomorrow.
