AFTER being mired in controversy following singer Nichume Siwundla’s death , Mobidixon says he is refreshed back in studio after his family and doctor told him to “take some off time to reflect”.
Nichume died after committing suicide at her friend, Oros Mampofu’s house last month.
She was the voice behind Dixon's 2017 mega hit Bhutiza and had been her mentor.
Mobidixon, whose real name is Mabi Ntuli was reportedly absent from Nichume’s memorial service and funeral.
This was after he was accused of being the reason behind Nichume's death after claims that he only paid her R3000 for their hit chart-topping song Bhutiza.
However, the star defended himself via a statement, which reads, in part: “We are aware and deeply saddened by the allegations against Top Chap Media and our CEO Mobi Dixon by Nichume’s family. We will respect the wishes of the family and refrain from making any further statements or comments about Nichume.”
Mobi seems to have shaken off the negative publicity and says he is back in studio making music.
“For the past month my family and my doctor have been strongly advising me take time off and reflect. Got time to re- evaluate a lot about life and relationships. I’m glad to be back at work today and on the verge of concluding the biggest deal of my career. Can’t wait to share the good news Thursday 25 July,” he wrote on his Instagram account.
